E-Waste Collection Program At Besut, Terengganu

Majlis Daerah Besut (MDB) with the support of Jabatan Alam Sekitar (JAS) Negeri Terengganu and KT Wan Recycle has collaborated in program e-waste collection program for Besut residents. This program, which was first organized in this district, was held at the Dewan Terbuka Gong Kemuntong, Besut, Terengganu.

The response from the public was very encouraging with a total collection of more than one tons. The success in organizing this program shows the high level of awareness in our society for the dangers if this ewaste waste is disposed without proper manner.

Cooperation with Kerajaan Negeri Terengganu and Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan (PBT) as well as licensed transporter and licensed partial recovery facility will continue to ensure that e-waste is managed and disposed of properly and safely as responds to the slogan “E-waste Dikitar Bumi Terpelihara”
