E-Waste Collection Program At Dungun, Terengganu

Support from Jabatan Alam Sekitar (JAS) Negeri Terengganu and Majlis Perbandaran Dungun (MPD) for the e-waste collection program by Syarikat Awie Metal Sdn.Bhd. has positive outcome, when the program has received response from the community around the district of Dungun, after the program was temporarily stopped since the state of Terengganu was imposed a Movement Control Order (MCO) last year.

The program was held next to the Eco Shop Building, Sura Gete, Dungun, from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm. It targets residents around Dungun district to dispose of e-waste properly and safely.

Among the e-waste sent were televisions, personal computers, washing machines, air conditioners, refrigerators, mobile phones and various electrical and electronic items at home.

This program will be held continuously to help the community, especially in the state of Terengganu, to dispose e-waste in the right and safe place to ensure environmental sustainability can be maintained.
