E-Waste Collection Day Celebration At Sarawak

The Electrical & Electronic Waste (E-Waste) Collection Campaign was successfully held today at Kawasan Lapang Berhadapan Masjid Darul Barakah ,Taman Satria Jaya BDC, Kuching from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. today.
The campaign was conducted by the Jabatan Alam Sekitar (JAS) Negeri Sarawak in collaboration with Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB) Sarawak, GVE Strategic Waste Sdn. Bhd. and JKKK Taman Satria Jaya BDC dan Taman BDC Stampin.
Various types of damaged electrical and electronic equipment were brought by the surrounding residents who responded to the campaign’s call. Residents carrying e-waste were also briefed on the adverse effects on the environment if e-waste disposal was not done properly.
