TECHNICAL MEETING DOE-JICA RELATED TO DEVELOPMENT THE MANAGEMENT OF USER REQUIREMENT SYSTEM (URS) FOR E-WASTE MANAGEMENT MECHANISM

Hazardous Materials Division, Department of Environment Malaysia held a technical meeting DOE-JICA to develop the URS database system for e-waste management mechanisms in Malaysia. This meeting was chaired by Puan Nur Lizrin Binti Johari, Chief Assistant Director, Scheduled E-Waste Section, Hazardous Materials Section. The URS development of this database system is part of the implementation of the Third Phase 2021-2023 of DOE-JICA collaboration under the project ‘The Project for Implementation Scheduled E-Waste Management Mechanism in Malaysia’. It is hoped that the database system that will be developed by DOE will be able to help in monitoring and enforcing the e-waste management mechanism in Malaysia.
