OBJECTIVE : The discussion aims to inform the manufacturers and importers about Scheduled E-waste regulations that has been drafted and is in the final stages of approval by the Attorney General’s Chambers. It is based on the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) approach. Recycling contribution (fee) is going to be imposed on the manufacturers and importers based on the number of electrical and electronic appliances placed in the Malaysia market (Put on Market – POM).
