E-Waste Collection Program At Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu

The “Collection of Households Electrical and Electronic Waste (e-waste)” campaign organized by Jabatan Alam Sekitar (JAS) Negeri Terengganu with the support of KT Wan Recycle Sdn. Bhd. and various parties continue to be welcomed.

Today the program was held at the Parking Kenderaan, Sebelahan Padang MBKT, Jalan Sultan Omar, Kuala Terengganu. The collection of e-waste that was successfully collected in a period of 4 hours starting at 9:00 am to 1:00 pm totaled 1 ton.

This continuous and unexpected response, following the announcement period was made on 01 April 2022, which is yesterday. This shows that the public has become aware of the dangers of  e-waste, if it is not managed according to the correct and safe method, and is disposed of in an inappropriate place such as a public waste disposal site.

JAS Terengganu will continue to cooperate and support the efforts of various parties to ensure that this e-waste is managed and disposed of correctly and safely.
